Interview with Marie Zandar:

Due to popular demand (sort of) we have an interview from Fox's better half!
Thats right folks, a sit down with Marie Zandar, Fox's wife of many years.
So lets get to it, shall we?
(Special thanks to Lauren, Marie's mun, for doing the interview!)

-Interview date: 2006-

Interviewer:  Well today we have with us, the lovely wife of Fox Zandar, who we already interviewed! She really wanted to get one.. and Fox pulled a few strings.. so here we are! Plus, people DO want to know whats up with being married to a dragon, of all things. So lets get started.

Marie:  Great!

Marie: There's no personal questions, are there?

Interviewer: Nice of you to join us Marie! Lets start with the basics. How ex- uhh.. thats the point of this..

Marie:  oh..

Marie:  Well fine, continue

Interviewer:  ::sigh:: How exactly.. did you end up being a mage? Where did that start? And how does it work out for you?

Marie:  Well I'm glad you asked that question Mr. Interviewer.  It all started a long time ago in a little town far away.  At the tender age of 12 my mother began teaching me magic.  She was a mage as well, but where we were from it wasn't widely accepted, so she had to keep it on the down low.  She didn't get to teach me much before she..died so I've pretty much had to learn on my own.  And of course, I'm not nearly as disciplined as I could be so I haven't really taken the time to learn as much of the craft as I could, but I still practice occasionally.  But since I was raised not using it really, I sometimes..well not forget, but just don't unless I'm in the mood.  But it works out well I guess.  It's a good skill to have I think.

Interviewer:  So what kind of things do you know, and use it for?

Marie:  ::laughs:: Well.. I know how to heal, telekenisis, I can summon things, general spells that have no single use.  Oh! and I'm currently working on mind control.  I'm trying to make Fox quack like a duck everytime he hears a bell.  ::snickers::  But there's really no specific use..I just use it whenever I want I guess.  Maybe if I'm really lazy.

Interviewer:  Oh.. mind control huh?  That workin out for you?

Marie: Not so much.

Interviewer:  Well I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like it could be quite the trick at parties.

Marie: well just give me a while.  But it's not really meant for tricks.

Interviewer:  Well, moving off of that subject.. The obvious question EVERYONE has is.. Why did you pick.. and even marry.. Fox?

Marie: ::laughs again:: Oh geez..
Marie: Why not?  He's a great person.

Interviewer: Well.. how is that? And obviously, people question it because you're a human.. and he's a dragon! I mean really.. how DOES that work?

Marie:  Well it works like everything else works in life.  You make it.  I fell in love with him before he was a dragon, but you know..it didn't stop me.  And it didn't change who he was.  I had to follow my heart, and my heart was with him.

Interviewer: Thats a really touching story.. You never had a single doubt about it? I mean.. didn't it ever come accross as weird.. to have a psychical relationship with a dragon..? I just can't even imagine it..

Marie:  I guess I had a doubt or two.  I mean, honestly when it happened I wasn't thinking about me.  He was going through this change and needed some support.  And it only ended up bringing us closer together.  And I don't think either of have complaints in the sex department, but I'd prefer not to get into the logistics of it.

Interviewer: Nah.. no need.. it's just a common question..

Interviewer: So you would say that you're definitely happily married? even after all these years?

Marie:  Of course.  I mean every relationship has it's ups and downs, but I'm definetly happy.

Interviewer: So then I should definitely tell all your fans that you're not looking for other men, eh?

Marie: ::laughs:: Yeah, I'd appreciate it.

Interviewer: So you've have a really long lasting relationship.. What do you think makes it work, and what advice do you have for those who are struggling?

Marie: Oh definetly compromise.  In a relationship it's important that both parties learn how to give and take equally.  Fox takes more than I do, but I'm such a giving person that I let it slide.  Also, I think you should marry a friend.  Get to know someone before you even go out.  Because if you can't last as friends, marriage won't change the relationship.  For people having problems, I would say to talk it out.  If something is bothering you, don't let the tension build up because once you explode, things will be said that can't be taken back.  And this sounds kind of weird, but sometimes I find that little spats can strengthen a relationship as well as keep it from getting stale.  I'm sure I've gotten upset over something that probably wasn't even that important, but those arguements are the best ones to get past and then you have the making up to look foward to.  ::grins::

Interviewer:  Good answer, and great advice.. well then.. To move on, as there isn't much more to say about that.. What is it that you live for? What do you do for fun?

Marie:  Well obviously my family and friends.  I don't really have any hobbies.  I like going for walks, playing jokes on people, I love reading, I'm thinking of starting a garden.  ::nods:: Nothing exciting.

Interviewer: No hobbies at all? What do you do to pass the time, then?

Marie: Sleep?

Interviewer: ::laughs:: Sleep? Thats it?

Marie:  I dunno!  I guess I like to decoupage.

Interviewer: Decoupage? really?

Marie:  ::snickers:: No..

Marie: But I just like doing normal things..I don't know.

Interviewer: So then.. you're a horribly boring person who happens to be married to a dragon.. Is that how you get your fame?

Marie: That's a mean thing to say.  And what do you mean fame?

Interviewer:  Well you know.. you have a reasonably high amount of fame.. being married to Fox.. Some consider it quite a big deal!

Marie:  Maybe my fame doesn't come from Fox.  Did you ever think of that?

Interviewer:  Well thats what I'm trying to get at.. But you claim there's nothing.

Marie: Well I think that my wonderful personality has something to do with it

Interviewer: Really now? How do you figure?

Marie:  Well I'm very charismatic in case you didn't notice.

Interviewer: Well.. ::cough:: lets move on to a different question..

Marie:  ::grumbles:: Jerk..

Interviewer:  It's been recently mentioned that you're a vampire now.. How did that come about, and whats it like for you?

Marie:  Who gives you all your information?

Interviewer: I have my sources..

Marie:  I'm sure..

Marie:  Well anyway, I guess I became a vampire because I was looking for a way to be immortal..

Interviewer:  Why would you want to do that?

Marie: Well because Fox is a dragon which means he lives for a really really long time.  And since I was a human, I wouldn't be around for a fraction of the time.

Marie:  So I went to my friend Naphy and asked for her help..and well, she turned me.

Interviewer:  So you did it, in order to live longer? To be able to live with Fox longer?

Marie: Yeah..pretty much.

Marie:  But now I'm wishing I'd thought of another way to handle it

Interviewer:  Whys that?

Marie:  Because being a vampire kinda sucks

Interviewer:  Care to explain?

Marie: Well like..Food and water..can't taste it.

Interviewer:  oh really..? I had no idea.. I don't know anything about vampirism, really.

Marie: yeah, well.  It's not really a picnic.  But I chose it and I'm not sorry or anything.  I'm glad I did it.

Interviewer: What would you do though, if something happened between you two? Since the reason behind your change was to be  with him longer..

Marie:  What do you mean if something happened with us? Like, if we broke up?

Interviewer:  Yeah, something to that effect. Just hypothetical, mind you.

Marie:  Well I've never thought of that.  I don't know.  I guess try to find a way to become human again.  Or if that's not possible, I'm not going to dwell on it.  There's no use being miserable about it.

Interviewer:  Yeah.. sorry.. Just curiousity

Marie:  Why, have you heard something?

Interviewer:  As far as a break up?

Marie:  ::shakes her head:: nevermind..

Interviewer:  Nono.. nothing like that.. In the interview with Fox, he had nothing but good things to say. You saw that, right?

Marie:  Yeah

Interviewer:  then you know! But at any rate.  Lets move on, shall we? Whats your favorite thing, in the whole world?

Marie:  Holy crap, thats a hard question

Marie: Well, there's raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens.

Interviewer:  whiskers on kittens..?

Marie:  So I guess my favorite thing in the world would be..a beautiful day.

Marie: No matter what's wrong, its hard to be in a bad mood on a beautiful day ::nods::

Interviewer: ahhh.. well then, whats the thing you most hate?

Marie: Oh wow..to narrow them all down to one.

Interviewer: You have a list?

Marie: Pff, I could go on forever about things I hate

Interviewer: ::smirks:: that negative?

Marie:  No..It's just that I am very easily irritated..

Marie: but I guess I hate being controlled the most

Interviewer:  and why is that? what do you mean?

Marie: I'm a free spirit and I like doing what I want.  And if someone tries to control me and tell me what I can and can't do, I tend to react against that.  I think the quickest way to make me an enemy is to try and boss me around.  I just don't handle it well.

Interviewer:  Not very many people like being bossed around, of course..

Marie: Well I didn't say that I was original

Interviewer: Oh come now, everyone is original in their own right.. You seem to not think very highly of yourself
Marie:  I do too

Interviewer:  Lets try something else! So, we all know.. despite his denial.. that Fox's secret fetish is tutus.. Whats it like, dealing with that? And whats one of yours?

Marie:  ::grins:: Oh boy, let me tell you.  It is one of the hardest things to love about Fox.  You should see his collection at home.  He's got hundreds of them!

Marie: When we're just sitting around at home, he likes to be wearing one.

Interviewer: Really.. How do you handle that? And did he ever tell you WHY he likes them so much?

Marie:  I think it's because he was a woman in his past life.

Interviewer:  Oh really now?

Marie:  Or maybe he wants to be a woman

Marie:  And I just deal with it.  I mean, he doesn't wear it outside, so it's okay.

Interviewer:  Well we DID ask him about that.. I mean with all the losses from the battle of the sexes.. every year..

Marie: Well he would never fess up to it.

Interviewer:  No.. he gets extremely hostile when questioned..

Marie: Exactly!  I'm sure hes just ashamed of it.

Marie:  And you know..as well he should.

Interviewer: And you're cool with that?

Marie: Well what am I going to do?  Divorce him?  That would be crazy.  Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water.

Interviewer: You know.. there have also been rumors about you being a lesbian..

Marie:  Those are all false!

Interviewer: Well you don't really seem to MIND that he'd have desire to be female..

Marie: You kiss one woman and suddenly you're a lesbian..damn.

Interviewer: Kissed one huh? Who was that?

Marie: None of your damn business

Marie:  And I never said he for sure wanted to be a woman.

Interviewer: Oh you went along with the idea..

Marie: Well I don't know for sure so I can't dismiss it.

Interviewer: Hmm.. fair enough.. Lets shift gears again. Try to get off that subject. :;clears throat::  what do you think is the most common misconception, that people have about you?

Marie:  OH!

Marie:  That I'm an airhead

Marie:  Some ditzy blonde who can't walk and chew gum at the same time

Interviewer: Really? Why do you think they have that idea?

Marie: Because they say it to me.

Marie:  People aren't very nice around here.

Interviewer: Well i mean.. what would give them that idea?

Marie: I have no clue!

Marie: Do I seem ditzy to you?

Interviewer: Well.. Yes and no.. Mostly when we first started.. and you asked if there were personal questions..

Marie:  That was a joke!

Marie:  Seesh..

Interviewer: Well how am i supposed to know?

Marie: I thought you knew everything Mr Smarty pants

Interviewer: No.. I simply have some research.. to ask questions with..

Interviewer:  ::flips through some notecards:: How was being the mother of twins, like? Especially the.. unique children that you ended up having?

Marie: Well, I love both my kids very much.  I really miss them.  They don't come around much anymore.  They were great when they were little. ::smiles:: Kiara had her moments and Chase turned out a lot like his father, but despite that, they're both good.  I really miss being a "mom" but when I do see them its kind of like being back there again.  We were really worried about having kids in the beginning..there were a lot of issues, but I would never give them up for anything in the world.  They have brought a lot of joy to my life.  And while they were "unique" they were still like all other kids their age dealing with a lot of the same problems.  And the different problems, well..we knew they'd eventually come so we were prepared.  That's what parents are supossed to do, right?

Interviewer:  Definitely so. So what is your happiest or best memory?

Marie:  I know it should go with my wedding or the birth of my kids, but those are the obvious ones.  So I'm going to go with the first time Fox kissed me.  ::smiles:: He was really cute.  He kinda kissed me, then freaked out and apologized.  And I was like don't apologize!  I've been wanting you to do that for forever.  ::laughs and shakes her head:: It's cute how stupid we were.

Interviewer:  Awww.. Thats really sweet.. And what about your worst memory?

Marie: My worst memory would be finding my mother and sister murdered.  My father hired someone to hunt us down, except I wasn't there when it happened.  I would say luckily..but I don't think that would be appropriate.

Interviewer:  Wow.. damn... Thats terrible..

Interviewer: Okay, to break things up a bit... if you could have anything.. RIGHT now, would would it be?

Marie: A giant chocolate milkshake with lots of whipped cream.  Why?  Because I'm hungry!  Fox still hasn't fed me.  ::snickers::

Interviewer:  Heh, Well this has been really informative.. But I think I'll wrap it up with one final question, and then we'll take some from the audience, okay?

Marie: Sure

Interviewer:  The final question would be, where do you see yourself in the future? what things lie ahead?

Marie:  Well..eventually once Fox gives up the guild, I'd like to travel.  You know, kind of pull up roots and just live like nomads.  Wander from place to place meeting new people and living new experiences.

Marie:  ::shrugs:: That's it.

Interviewer:  you want to live on the road?

Marie: ::nods:: its always been a dream of mine

Interviewer: why is that?

Marie:  I told you, I'm a free spirit.  I like to roam and not be tied down.

Interviewer:  hmm.. so then let me add to my question.. Just because that interests me.. Since you seem so adamant about not being "tied down" why on earth did you marry?

Marie:  Oh..well I have a history of mental illness in my family.  ::grins::

Interviewer:  ahh.. so you did it because you're crazy.. Okay..

Marie: ::laughs and shakes her head::

Interviewer:  Well then that will be it, anything more to add, before I open this to the public?

Marie: Yeah.  You're a really bad interviewer

Interviewer: ::gasps:: Hey! Why would you say a thing like that?

Marie:  I'd answer that, but you've already used up your last question..like 10 times.

Interviewer:  hmph..
