Electrical Tape on Guitar Hero Guitars
Yes. Seriously.
The start. See, the whammy bar was broken so a friend of mine suggested we fix it by taping some styrofoam under it as a cushion. Easy right? it worked. but he also handed me 5 different colors of tape to choose from.. so I used them!The electrical taping of GH guitars was so amusing, i decided to try it again the next day. This time, actually attempting to make something instead of just random crap. It was an okay success but, without using scissors, it was pretty rough and difficult to get proper shapes.Arriving back to San Francisco, I decided to give my GH guitars this electric tape treatment. I went to the hardware store and bought as many colors as I could find..about 8 hours later, with some 8 rolls of electrical tape and scissors, we have this. Back versionsUsing scissors helped me get much more awesome results because i could control exactly what i wanted. Here we have "Fox's guitar" character themed just for the hell of it. He's lightning based, so that makes for cool guitar designs. Front side. Here we have "Fox's guitar" character themed just for the hell of it. The back side was all "scaled" blue because he's a dragon, and his logo! Back side.Here we have "Fox's guitar" character themed just for the hell of it. this angle shows the blend of sides 3/4th side.Here we have "Red's guitar" character themed just for the hell of it. she's a gun and explosives nut, so that allowed for some bad ass designs. I went crazier with this one, layering the hell out of it, and using black tape to make it look like the guitar was actually cracked. Front side.Here we have "Red's guitar" character themed just for the hell of it. I decided to go simpler with the back, since the front was so crazy. Just the logo. But ah.. the area with the screws is now bullet holes. Back side.Here we have "Red's guitar" character themed just for the hell of it. I actually put the fire blend over the 3/4ths view here, and so you can see it clearly showed off. 3/4ths side.LETS ROCK! \m/ \m/
